A shared list is a collection of wishes that someone — a friend, partner, family member — created in the Wiset app and sent you as a link. Inside you'll find the specific products they want: each one with its photo, approximate price, and the store where it's available. You can view the list without installing anything, but to reserve a gift and avoid duplicates you'll need to install the app. The good part: your reservation is anonymous — the list owner doesn't see who reserved what, only that the product is already taken.
How to reserve a gift without spoiling it
After downloading Wiset and opening the shared link, you'll see every product on the list. Tap the one you like and hit "reserve". From that moment on it shows up as taken for the rest of the guests (so they don't buy the same thing), but the list owner gets no notification of who reserved it. When the birthday, baby shower or event arrives, you hand over the gift and the surprise stays intact. If you change your mind, you can release the reservation anytime.
Why you need the app, not just the browser
You can open the list link in any browser without installing Wiset, but the experience is limited: you'll only see the products — no reserving, marking as bought, or notifications when new things get added. The app unlocks everything: anonymous reservations, saved lists to revisit, sync across devices, and the ability to create your own lists for your birthday or events.
